1. Make autumn elves
On some autumn mornings, a heavy fog hangs in the air, and the scent of moss and wet leaves fills the air. This enchanted atmosphere invites dreaming and is practically the perfect setting for little autumn elves. To make an autumn elf, you'll need a particularly beautiful leaf, some felting wool, a wooden bead, glue, a pen, and thread.
And this is how it works:
First, draw a face on the wooden bead (make sure the holes in the wooden bead are at the top and bottom), then take the thread and glue one end into the top hole of the wooden ball. Next, glue some felting wool around the wooden bead to give your elf a hairstyle. You can really get creative here. Finally, all you have to do is trim the stem of your leaf and glue the remaining piece into the bottom end of the bead, allowing the leaf to unfold beautifully downwards. Your autumn elf is finished.
2. Window pictures
The warm colors of autumn leaves really come into their own in the window, especially when the low sun shines through. What could be more natural than creating autumnal window decorations from your pressed autumn leaves? You'll need transparent film (clear plastic or similar), glue, and colorful cardboard or paper.
And this is how it works:
Cut the foil to the desired size. It's important that you have two equal-sized layers of foil to position your colorful leaves between. To make the whole thing even more beautiful, make a frame out of colorful cardboard for the window decoration, which you can paint, write on, or decorate as you wish.
3. Autumn cards
Want to send your loved ones or even distant relatives an autumnal greeting made from your hand-pressed leaves? No problem! Take a colorful piece of craft card in the desired size, decorate it with stamps, paint, or decorate it as you like, and then glue your autumn leaves onto it. The perfect frame for your personalized greetings.
4. Paint pressed leaves
