What you need:
- Euphorbia Spinosa aka Spiny Spurge or Wonderful Binding Green
- moss
- winding wire
- Natural bast or similar binding material
Step-by-step instructions
- Prepare the blank: First, form a small ball of moss in the palm of your hand. Make sure only the green parts are visible on the outside. Tip: The balls are best formed when the moss is still slightly damp.
- Incorporate natural raffia for hanging: In order to be able to hang the moss ball at the end, the natural raffia is pulled from top to bottom through the moss ball and secured at the bottom end with a double knot.
- Wrapping moss: Now tie the moss piece by piece using the same wire. Once the ball is nicely round, wrap it with thin wrapping wire to keep its shape. Wrap or secure it with Euphorbia spinosa. This creates a natural-looking decoration in typical winter colors or lush green spring colors in no time.
- Closing gaps: Finally, close the gaps, cut and twist the wire and, if you like, add accents with other elements.
- Hang it up, decorate it, give it away and simply: enjoy and be happy!
