What exactly is pre-culture and what should I pay attention to?
Pre-cultivation is, so to speak, an alternative to direct sowing. In pre-cultivation, seedlings are planted in seed pots and allowed to germinate on a windowsill or in a mini-greenhouse. This allows new plants to be sown in a protected, warm space. Once the seedlings have reached a decent size, they can be transplanted outdoors. Pre-cultivation is particularly suitable for plants that are sensitive to frost and cannot be planted outdoors before the Ice Saints in mid-May. If you grow the seeds on a windowsill a few weeks in advance, you can reach harvest time in the garden much earlier. A nice side effect: If you start pre-cultivation at home in the spring, you can start the gardening season much earlier and don't have to wait patiently until mid-May!
