Can upcycling
Upcycling ideas for litter meadow and other cans
They're everywhere: cans. They're used as tea cans, food cans in a variety of sizes, and so on. We also use this practical packaging for one of our products: the Streuwiesen (scattered meadows). Because the cans are sturdy, resealable, and beautiful, we definitely recommend reusing them after use! They'd be far too good to be thrown in the trash. Here are our top 5 ideas for how you can reuse can packaging.
Idea 1: For more color in the house
Attention, here comes the first completely crazy idea: Simply use the can as a pretty flower vase. You can then decorate, paint, and decorate it as you like. Then just add the flower(s) and water and place it on the table. Done!
Tip for you: The container also works perfectly as a nursery pot or small flowerpot. Just make sure you drill holes in the bottom and place the container on a saucer. This allows the water to drain well and prevents waterlogging.
Idea 2: For order on the desk
With a custom-designed pen holder, you'll never have to search for a pen again. Depending on your mood, you can cover your pen container with craft paper, string, or colorful sticky tape, or, if you have Van Gogh genes, even paint it in bright colors. This will put a smile on your face while working at your desk! ;-)
Tip for you: Some cans, like our Streuwiesen, can also be sawn into pieces. This way, you can create a small bowl for knick-knacks—perfect for safety pins and the like.
Idea 3: For the finest tea enjoyment
Want to enjoy your garden herbs in the winter too? No problem! Once you've harvested the last of your herbs, you can hang them in bunches to dry and then store them in these pretty tins. Brewed hot, these delicious herbs will keep you going through the cold season and provide pure tea enjoyment anytime!
Tip for you: These pretty tins can provide a home for more than just dried herbs and tea. Small storage boxes are a must-have to help keep the clutter out of your kitchen and bathroom! And if they're also pretty, all the better. Simply decorate and label them as you like, and candy, nuts, and hair clips will fly into the tin.
Idea 4: For contemplative hours
Whether as decoration in your own home or as table centerpieces at your next wedding, our meadow scatters can easily be sliced with a sharp knife or saw. Beautifully covered with paper and lace ribbons, these rings make excellent candle holders – sturdy, chic, and homemade. For romantic moments and cozy evenings. By the way: They also look lovely as napkin rings.
A little tip: Standard pillar candles fit perfectly into the candle holders in our Streuwiesen collection. Remember: To prevent your house from burning down, never leave candles unattended!
Idea 5: For first music concerts
Need a personalized gift for your niece? No problem! You can make a rattle out of the can in no time. Rice, lentils, and other ingredients are perfect for filling. First, decorate it with colorful ingredients, then fill it with the grains and close the lid tightly (caution: risk of swallowing). It's also a great idea for a crafting session together. Have fun making music!
