Mojito with fresh mint
The Mojito is probably one of the most popular cocktails. Speculation still exists today about the origin of the Cuban drink's name.
Our favorite: Mojito loosely translates to "little magic" (from the West African word mojo). When prepared correctly, it tastes just like that—a little bit magical.
Ingredients:
- 5cl rum (Bacardi, Havana Club)
- 1.5cl freshly squeezed lime juice
- 8-10 large mojito mint leaves
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- chilled soda to refill
- Crushed ice
Preparation:
- Wash the limes and cut off the ends, then cut into eighths.
- Pour into a cocktail glass along with the sugar and freshly picked mint .
- Crush everything a little with the mortar, but don't crush it completely.
- Fill the glass with crushed ice, pour in the rum and top up with soda.

Ready? Add a straw and garnish with mint leaves or a lime wedge!
