Sesame chicken with broccoli and soy-lime marinade
Is there so much cilantro in your fridge that you can't even fit a yogurt? It's high time to clean up and move the cilantro into the pan—along with juicy chicken and crunchy broccoli!
You need these ingredients (2 people):
- 160g chicken breast fillet
- 10g sesame seeds
- 1 lime
- 10g fresh coriander
- ½ broccoli
- 2 carrots
- ½ chili pepper
- 10g ginger
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 spring onion
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 2 tsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 50ml water

Preparation (~30 minutes)
- Roast sesame seeds in a pan until golden brown.
- Wash the chicken, pat dry and dice.
- Wash the broccoli and cut into florets.
- Peel carrots and cut into slices.
- Wash the chili , peel the ginger and garlic, chop everything finely and set aside.
- Wash the coriander and pick off the leaves.
- Wash and clean the spring onions and cut them into rings.
- Mix soy sauce, maple syrup, lime juice, and water to make a marinade. Set the marinade aside.
- Heat coconut oil in a pan and sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes. Remove the chicken from the pan.
- Add broccoli, carrots and sesame oil to the pan and fry for about 5 minutes.
- Add chili , ginger and garlic and sauté briefly.
- Add the soy-lime marinade and chicken to the sauce and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds, coriander, and spring onions over the vegetable and meat mixture to garnish.
