Tomatoes in basil oil
Tomatoes take up to six months to harvest. So, from the time they were sown in containers in February until now, a loooong time has passed. Now, in August, the tomatoes are finally turning red. Yay! No wonder the tomato harvest is one of the most rewarding gardening moments of the season. We, too, are delighted with these sweet fruits and think they're a hit, especially when paired withbasil ! You need these ingredients (2 people):
- 125g cherry tomatoes
- 5gbasil , fresh
- 1/2 garlic clove
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- Salt
- pepper

- Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
- Wash tomatoes , dry them and cut them in half.
- Washthe basil , shake it dry, pluck the leaves from the branches and tear them very roughly or chop them with a knife.
- Peel the garlic and dice finely.
- Put tomatoes , garlic andbasil in small pots and mix well.
- Then pour olive oil over everything, add salt and pepper.
- Place in the oven with the lid on for about 15-20 minutes.
- The tomatoes cook in thebasil oil without absorbing it. You can either dip bread in thebasil oil or let it cool and add it to your next salad .
